As February winds to a close, it’s time to plan for the most wonderful time of the year: ice cream season. Unlike the winter months, where the only advantage to eating ice cream is that it is delicious (which is really the main draw, let’s be real), springtime seems perfectly suited to the frozen delicacy. Not too hot, so it doesn’t melt all over you, and not too cold, so it doesn’t make your teeth hurt. Ice cream is the best. To celebrate the glory that is ice cream, here is a list of events all across the USA to get your sweet tooth satisfied. BOO-YUM!

Friday, March 2 | Deadly Dessert | Philadelphia, PA

ICE CRIME! This dinner theater production in Philly needs you to solve a mystery surrounding Len & Terry’s Ice Cream. “But wait,” you say, “I want to eat ice cream, not just talk about it! YOU TRICKED ME.” No, I did not. This is DINNER THEATER, and Bistro Romano, as part of its full menu, has a fine selection of gelato and sorbetto to satisfy that craving. This is an all-immersive ice cream experience.

Saturday, March 3 | All Dessert Walking Tour | Columbus, OH

This van-based food tour from Columbus Food Adventures includes a visit to the legendary Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams in addition to artisan coffee and a dessert cocktail. Jeni’s is known for their unique ice-cream innovations, like goat cheese with cognac figs, cherry lambic sorbet, and wildberry lavender. Even the mayor loves it (ice cream action starts at 3:30)!

Wednesday, March 7 | Yummy Eats at the Underground Supper Club | Brooklyn, NY

Amongst the eight dishes presented in four courses in this posh supper club is maple ice cream with chocolate bacon. Just in case you’re one of those people that can’t eat anything without bacon in it. All courses are paired with wine by sommelier superstar Lauren Johnson.

Friday, March 30 | Fashion a la Mode | Mission Viejo, CA

For Orange County teens who are interested in entering the fashion industry, Fashion a la Mode is seven hours of workshops and competitions — and ice cream sundaes. What’s not to love? Workshops include sewing, fashion illustration, fashion forecasting, dyeing fabric, designing an interior space, fashion styling, and more. Sundaes include ice cream.

Saturday, March 31 | Maple Syruping | Sarona, WI

After spending the morning learning some sweet skills like tapping and collecting maple sap and converting it to syrup, participants of this workshop get to eat maple syrup-topped ice cream!

Saturday, May 19 | Sundaes in Columbus | Westerville, OH

Oh, what, you’ve been to Columbus a million times and you’re SO OVER Jeni’s Ice Cream? If you can wait until May, this tour from A La Carte Food Tours takes you on ice cream’s journey from the cow’s teat to your mouth. After a n’ice, nerdy journey through the Ohio dairy industry, you’ll sample a variety of flavors and qualities of ice cream at United Dairy Farmers Store and enter the world of artisan, small-batch ice cream at Charlotte and Olivia’s Sublime Ice Cream. (Columbus fine ice cream makers really, really like adjectives.)
