Reggae On the Banks of the Sacramento River This Weekend!

This week, as summer draws to a close we want to spread the word of some last minute music festivals happening around the country. Sacramento has a great reggae festival coming up this weekend, The One Love One Heart Festival featuring some top names in the reggae world, most notably, Don Carlos, formerly of the legendary Black Uhuru and award-winning reggae vocalist Everton Blender.

Everton Blender hails from Kingston, Jamaica and started his career in the late 70s/early 80s performing with the Destiny Outernational, Master Voice and Santex sound systems. He released a handful of singles such as “Where Is Love” in 1979 and “Ba Ba Black Sheep” in 1985 but failed to reach any commercial success. He retired from music to return to his former job as a house painter.
