Conan Hits the Big Screen in Brooklyn and Mesa, Arizona This Week!

It has been a crazy couple of years for Conan O’Brien, his popular late night TV show on was cancelled, he briefly hosted The Tonight Show before quitting amongst a highly publicized conflict with NBC, then returned with a new late night show on TBS. After his departure from the The Tonight Show, O’Brien was contractually banned from appearing on television, radio and the internet for six months so he used that time to hit the road for a 32 city music and comedy tour as an attempt to build his improvisational chops back up after years of being a popular television personality.

The shows, appropriately titled “The Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour” differed from his television shows in that they were presented as a variety show featuring music, video bits, comic performance and stand-up comic performers. There was no desk or celebrity interviews and Conan performed music throughout the show including a parody of “On the Road Again.”
