LouFest Hits St. Louis Next Weekend!

Get excited St. Louis because LouFest is almost here and features a dream lineup for all lovers of indie rock, hip hop and Americana.

The lineup would be stellar for one of the more established indie-music festivals but LouFest is only in its second year and is already drawing top-notch talent. That’s a testament to the drive and vision of the production team who have managed to secure national headliners like The Roots, TV on the Radio, Cat Power (Her only festival performance in 2011!), !!!, The Low Anthem and The Hold Steady along with the best musical acts St. Louis has to offer: John Hardy & the Public, Troupadour Dali and Old Lights among others.

BPT Mixtape #14 – Graeme’s UK Rock City!

It’s been too long since we’ve posted a BPT Mixtape, but fear not, the wait is over. Graeme over in our UK office put together a killer mix of his favorite hard-rocking hits. Lots of great stuff here: classic 70’s hard rock with AC/DC and KISS, some nice Brit-pop courtesy of Oasis, James and the Manic Street Preachers and current indie-rock faves The Hold Steady and The Gaslight Anthem. There’s even some comedic rapping courtesy of New Zealand’s Flight of the Conchords! One thing these songs all have in common? They all rock. Thanks Graeme.

Time to break out the sunglasses and the shorts and get out there and do some outdoor living.

The sunshine also heralds the beginning of summer music festival season and, let me tell you, we’re ticketing tons of great festivals all over the country. From classical concerts to jam bands to indie rock, it’s all represented here and while my list is probably far from complete, I’ve included some of the festivals that caught my eye.
