Give Veterans & Their Families Free Tickets for Life!

News >

How do you normally observe Veterans Day? Of course, you’re looking forward to a day off and perhaps you do nothing out of the ordinary at all. How many Americans do the same thing?

Veterans Day (called “Remembrance Day” in several other countries) is the celebration  of the end of World War I, where on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month  (Nov. 11 at 11 a.m.), a treaty was signed to end the war.  Traditionally, it is celebrated in most countries, by holding a two minute ceremony or vigil or prayer at 11 a.m., both in remembrance of those who gave their lives in military service and in gratitude for those currently in the military are putting their lives on the line for this country.

What if you could do something this Veterans Day that would take you two minutes, but would give veterans, active military and their families access to free event tickets for a lifetime? What if your friends could do that, too? Sound too good to be true? Well, it’s true, thanks to the hard work of the non-profit Vet Tix.

Vet Tix is dedicated to matching donated and unused event tickets and after more than four years of doing so, they have already put more than 478,000 tickets into the hands of veterans, active US military and their families, including the families of those who gave their lives for our country.

Last July 4, Brown Paper Tickets announced a new partnership with Vet Tix, and approximately six weeks later, we had enabled event producers to donate tickets to their events with just one click, and hundreds of thousands of ticket buyers to be able to do the same. This partnership has resulted in an immediate 20% increase in ticket donations to veterans across the nation, with no major media publicity or advertising.

Today, on Veterans Day, we ask you to take two minutes to share a link on social media for anyone you know who is a veteran or an active member of the military to sign up for access to free tickets for the rest of their lives, donated by the generous event producers, their ticket buyers, and venues already associated with Vet Tix.  Tickets being given away are for events that range from cooking classes to the Super Bowl, and everything in-between .

Join us in helping veterans, active military, their families and the families of those no longer with us by asking them to click here for free, lifetime access to these tickets.

“Some of these free tickets have gone without being claimed due to veterans not knowing about them,” said Michael A. Focareto, a U.S. Navy veteran and the chief executive officer/founder of Vet Tix.  “These tickets mean everything to veterans, some of whom tell us that this is the first time anyone has said ‘thank you’ for their service. Please share this story in personal conversations and on social media today about how to sign up for this amazing free benefit to those who have served our country.”

“Many artists, bands, sports teams, venues and people who organize events are attracted to Brown Paper Tickets because of our business ethos of giving, as we make a donation to non-profits with every ticket sold, and how we “do more for less,” by offering our services free to event producers, who can then exceed their fans’ expectations with the lowest ticketing fee in the industry,” said William S. Jordan, president and founder of Brown Paper Tickets. The world’s only Not-Just-For-Profit ticketing company is also the only company in the ticketing industry with a commitment to regular donations of free tickets to veterans, and has become the largest single donor of tickets to servicemen and women through Vet Tix.

“We think that saying ‘thank you’ to those who have served our country is the right thing to do every day, not just on Veterans Day,” Jordan said.

If you are an event producer and you would like to donate tickets to veterans, active military and their families, you can do so with one click on the “event promotion” button of your producer page, or call us 24 hours a day at 1-800-838-3006 and we will help you!
