Now, you’re probably saying to yourself, “That’s great Jimmy. Buy why are you telling me this now that it’s passed?” Well, because they’re giving Phoenix film-buffs a second chance to check out the best of the festival. This Friday, May 13 is your last chance to see the best shorts from the festival as well as the winner of the 2011 Phoenix Film Festival Audience Award Wild Horse, Wild Ride.

Best of the Fest Shorts will feature a sampling of the best shorts from the festival as voted by the audience, judges and programmers and will open this double feature at 6pm. This will be followed by Wild Horse, Wild Ride at 8 P.M., an incredible story about the Extreme Mustang Makeover Challenge where one hundred regular people are given the challenge of taming one hundred wild mustangs in an effort to give them a better life outside of the federal holding facilities. In just three months, participants must go from scared strangers to close companions. This incredible film follows them on this transformative journey.
