Tacos and Sweets Take to the Streets

Food & Drink >

Readily available food is good. Readily available food that’s delicious AND located on a corner near you borders on genius. I’m sure you’re all familiar with the food trucks around your town: one quick stop for delicious, exotic morsels that transport you out of your busy day-to-day work routines and onto a beach filled with an ocean breeze, live music and best of all, flavor. It is worth the trek from your office building to get lost in paradise, even if only for a moment.

Brown Paper Tickets was lucky enough to have Fusion on the Run, a Seattle-based taco truck with a Hawaiian twist, at our new site launch party in February. They filled party goers bellies with pork sliders, chicken wings, and pork, beef, and veggie tacos; each with their special sauce and seasonings, transporting guests from the cold streets of Seattle’s Georgetown neighbourhood to an island warmth that only Hawaii could provide.

For our guests with a sweet-tooth, we had another food truck to satisfy their cravings. To the left of the Fusion on the Run truck sat the Street Treats truck. Seattlites, you may have seen the pearly white truck with the candy swirl on the side driving around town, next time you do, stop and taste its treats. From salted rice crispy treats, to make-your-own fresh ice cream sandwiches, to (hands-down) the best chocolate brownie I’ve ever tasted (and yes, I am a certified chocolate fiend). Whatever your preference there will be something on the Street Treats menu to satisfy your taste buds.

Not only is the Fusion on the Run and Street Treats‘s food delicious, but they were a part of the party set-up that we didn’t have to worry about. Everything they needed was on board. They just pulled in, turned their burners and ovens on, opened their windows and were ready for business. No fuss with the traffic of guests. No food turning luke-warm on platters. No caterers running around to direct. Just hot, melt-in-your-mouth food, right from the truck’s windows. Needless to say, they were a huge hit.

Thanks again for all of your help Fusion on the Run and Street Treats for helping make our launch party a delicious journey to a far away land.
